Question About The Leviathan Box
With the 9th edition. It won’t be priced as a starter set, but if you’re interested in playing either Adeptus Astartes or Necrons, this is a good place to start. All you need to add is a tape measure and dice. The miniatures are also pushed, with only a few possibilities for construction. The Adeptus Astartes are some of the cleanest buildable miniatures we’ve seen, making Indomitus perfect for beginner enthusiasts.
Indomitus contains 2 forces of miniatures, the Adeptus Astartes, also known as Space Marines, and the Necrons, a force of cybernetic space undead.
The Space Marine Force is a new branch of the Crusader Marines, designed to take the fight directly to the enemy. It is made up of a new breed of space marines, known as Primaris, who are bigger and tougher than the original astronauts.
The Necron forces, although they can be used in any Necron army, in Indomitus they represent the Szarekhan clan, the forces of the last silent king said to return. They are also the forces the Crusader Marines are on their way to face.

Warhammer 40,000 9th Edition Review: No Less Complex, But Much More Inviting
Players can now also choose secondary objectives in matchmaking, which can cater to specific objectives that your power is good at. These secondary objectives give you bonus points for taking out enemy characters or vehicles, taking out more enemy units than you lose, having a vehicle within your opponent’s deployment zone, or completing soul rites.
Narrative gameplay now focuses entirely on the Crusade system, with your units gaining experience from each battle that can be used to gain battle honors, such as combat traits like Grizzled, which can prevent a unit from losing a wound on a 6 roll, or a weapon boost such as armor piercing which increases the AP of that unit’s weapons. Units taken out during a crusade may lose experience or gain battle scars but are always refreshed to their previous number to represent repair and renewal for your army.
The new core rulebook ends with several appendices that update several rules to the new version. This includes adding the new explosive ability to weapons, some units gaining the aircraft’s abilities and explanations of rare rules and ending with a rules glossary.
Indomitus is an amazing box, with some amazing miniatures. We are going to add the Crusader forces to our Raven Guard Space Marine army and also start a new slow growing Crusade campaign with our local store.
