That might be another casting , S13WL or maybe S13WG. Those are Tundra calipers with 231mm pistons. If you have S13WL calipers and thicker rotors, then a 15″ rim won’t work. It’s hit or miss on 16-inch brakes. If you have upgraded Tundra brakes, be sure to check your aftermarket parts, as the 16-inch aftermarket parts sometimes don’t work.

I’ll chime in because I have 15″ wheels on a Stout that is on a 3rd gen 4runner chassis that I happened to buy from @scheefdog. The 3rd gen donor was a base model 4cyl and had 16″ base steel wheels, but the spare was 15″. I wanted to put 40 series wheels on the Stout and assumed the 15″ would fit. Well, even though I bought the 40 series welded wheels, I had to take the sander off about 1/8″ from the top of the small caliper lugs. You could probably take more material off if you needed to, but I’d go ahead IMHO it’s more work as worth something that can be achieved in a safer way.

Many 3rd gens that came with 16″ wheels had stickers on the doors that indicated 15″ wheels – both my brother’s and my 98’s. So the sticker on the door does not mean that 15″ wheels will fit. Both of our carts have so-called ‘bigger brakes’ and they say 15″ wheels will not fit.

As I understand it, the door jamming was probably correct when the truck left the factory. It’s also not uncommon for 89-95 pickups to find tire info for 235/75R15 when your truck came with 31×10.50×15. In these cases, the gearing was also changed to 4.56 from 4.10, so the axle code may not be correct. A second sticker may be affixed. Or maybe not.
