But after working out some fuel trim issues, I was left with trim around +/-8% at idle and +/-5% at speed, which still seemed a bit higher than ideal. Much to my surprise, it made a HUGE difference! Fuel trims at idle are now +/-2%, at gear only slightly higher. The idle is DEFINITELY smoother, and the engine is smoother overall (that last one might just be wishful thinking, but it sure feels real to me…). All this with just a few hours of driving. Worth every penny of the $8 in my book! I would be interested to hear if others see similar positive results. I never expected anything so fast or so dramatic.

I never said I hated driving. I hate jerks. I love and appreciate the E46, just outgrew it. Not the right car for me. There’s no time to bang in the garage every weekend.
If I do something that needs tweaks, it will be guaranteed and come out fresh.

I use Techron for a 20 gallon tank as I think mine is 16.x but they also make one for 12 gallons so I would give that a try.
Not that it will hold mine, but it still hums nicely somehow…sadly a lot of my speakers don’t hum or make any sound, but I guess I don’t care for them. I’m happy with spotify from 4-5 speakers.

That being said, I don’t need to ask him, I know what you have to do. Mathematics. Use a graduated cylinder and don’t be fooled by the mini…maybe use a dropper. Then return the unused portion to the bottle and save it for next time.

Techron Marine Fuel System Treatment
One thing to realize is that Techron does not burn as well as gas. Why?? It is a cleaner and not a fuel. What happens is that the unburnt Techron passes through the piston rings and contaminates the oil. So fill the car with premium gas and a bottle of Techron to clean things up, but change the oil and filter after you burn through most of the fuel+Techron.

Techron makes 2 products: Fuel Injector Cleaner and Total Fuel System Cleaner. The latter is the best product to use. It has a higher concentration of the proprietary cleaner and works great. I have been using it for many years.
