OEM stealth models have several factory-applied reinforcements. e.g. Reinforced floor pan, front and rear bulkheads, windshield frame, x mount, etc… Does the rebuild company have direct support from Dodge? I first heard about the conversion through an online article about a Dodge dealer in North Carolina selling both the Hellcat and what I believe was an R/T Challenger convertible. All with a full Chrysler warranty. Called the dealership and they said both cars were sold and had no idea if they were going to order more convertible conversions.

I then contacted the shop that did the conversions and talked to them at length about the conversion process. Then I actually went to the shop (twice) to look around the shop and check out the Challengers currently being rebuilt. The shop has modified makes and models in the past, but only specializes in making Challengers. Every time I visited the store, there must have been at least 10 Challengers in various states of conversion.

A quick rundown of what they do with the cars and some items I may have left off my list:

1. Put the car on a lift so that the steel frame stiffeners can be welded under the car.

2. Remove the car seats, door panels and carpet so you can weld additional steel to the interior floor.

10. Finish the trunk area with gray felt and add a custom trunk cover for the top.

The owner of the shop was very easy to work with and helped me first get a new car from the dealer at a good price and then rebuild to save money.

Install the matching steel support on the engine side to side. 5. Then cut off the top. 6. Install custom rear quarter glass with power window motors. 7. Install the roof antenna to the trunk lid. 8. Install convertible top frame, top, hydraulic top motor and switch. 9. Install the custom trim where the top was cut and install the hard points for the front top latches. 10. Finish the trunk area with gray felt and add a custom trunk cover for the top. 11. Paint the newly configured header over the windshield to match the factory car color. The look and handling of the car is excellent. Finishing work is of a very high standard. I would do it again in a heartbeat and it was worth every penny.
