I had a small hiccup, but Andrei took good care of me and fixed the problem immediately. The wheels are great. For now, I’m going to stick with the 20 inch rims on my Limited, but I want a different AT tire than the stock one. Planning to buy this month!

I won’t be climbing any rocks, but I will need traction on muddy roads and fields (archery hunting, fly fishing), as well as traction in snow.

I wish my Limited setup felt a little more off-road worthy, too. I would normally lean towards the BFGs – swoon!

So far I’ve seen photos on this forum of BFGoodrichAT at 285/55R20. There is also the Hankook Dynapro ATM in 275/55R20 in limited version on the forum. (also comes in P275/60R20)

And the Nitto Terra Grappler AT comes in 285/55R20 (seen here) and several other lower-profile tires for 20-inch rims.

Be prepared to spend a lot of money… A/T tires for 20″ wheels are not cheap. Not to mention the limited wheels are narrow like bicycle wheels… not the best for muddy situations. I would look for a larger wheel 18″ wide if I were you…although if you’re dead set on 20″ you’d be fine with the BFG A/T, Nitto Terra Grappler or Goodyear Duratracs.

Cool, keep us updated. I was thinking maybe the 18″ wheels on the later 4th gen 4Runner Limiteds might look good… I was debating between the TE and the Limited and if I had gone the limited route I probably would have gotten the 18″ wheels from the 4th gen . Just something about these wheels I like, I guess…

I live in Michigan and do a lot of bird hunting. I bought the Hankook Dynapro ATM for my Limited and they were great last fall during bird season.

It seems like a lot of people who do a lot of off-roading use smaller wheels, which I understand – especially with rocks, psi tuning, etc.

I have the Terra Grapplers in size 275/60-20 (requires lift kit). I love them so far. They are great IMHO from AT. I don’t use mud or anything, but I drive on a lot of slippery trails and pastures around the house. I noticed that the traction control never kicks in after riding these babies. You can operate the 275/55-20 in your truck without a lift. The Hankook was my first choice, but they weren’t available when I ordered tires. By the way, 20-inch ATs will cost almost a thousand dollars no matter what brand you get.

What did the Terra Grapplers do with their fuel consumption? The 275/55-20 would look good on my LE. I mostly drive on the highway, but I want to be able to occasionally drive on slippery trails. I’m evaluating the cost/benefit ratio of opting for a more aggressive tire.

My dashboard says I’m getting 14/18 mpg in my Terra Grapplers. But that’s a bit wrong, as my speedometer says I’m going 60, when I’m actually going 63, due to the increased tire circumference.

This is at 275 60 20 which is absolutely awesome! I raised it 2″ front and back with Toytec bilsteins so I could hold my rake.
