As we mentioned, Discount Tire wants your help: Anyone with a 15-inch tire? After looking at the Patriot brake dimensions and the dimensions of some 15×7 0mm offset rear wheels, we decided it was time to test the fit. When looking at the tire specs, we found that a 15×7 with 0mm offset should be the same as the factory tire with 32mm (1.25″) wheel spacing. Allow the vehicle owner to run a wider and taller tire without the use of a tire tool.

Before I get to the results, some of you may be asking “Why would anyone want to run 15’s on their Patriot?”…

Here are a few reasons… First, if you’re looking for an off-road wheel option, some of you may have noticed that there aren’t many 16-inch or 17-inch wheel models for the Patriot. . The 15-inch, on the other hand, offers several off-road tire options. Also, the 15-inch drop is great for off-roading. Compared to 16″ and 17″ tires of the same diameter, the 15″ tire offers more sidewall height for better off-road performance and handling while in the air. The 15-inch tire and wheel combo can also save you some money at the pump. Depending on the wheel you choose, 15-inch alloy wheels and compound tires tend to weigh less than larger diameter wheel designs and tires. This weight savings translates into fuel savings. Note* If fuel economy is one of the following. For the main reason you want to run a 15 inch wheel and install a tire, we recommend going with an alloy wheel over a steel wheel. Best of all, 15-inch tires tend to be more economical, so when you get to your next set, you’ll have more money to spend on other Jeep models.

Epper: we were able to test drive a few 15-inch Jeep Patriot wheel models, along with a few larger (vs. stock) options. Here’s what we found…

15×7 ET0 (4″ BS) Unique 297, 15×7 ET0 (4″ BS) Cragar Soft 8, 15×7 ET0 (4″ BS) MB TKO and 15×7 ET0 (4″ BS) MB Chaos 5 all clear Patriot brakes in bulk they did don’t ask for room and wheel spacers. The sizes we tested were 225/75-15, 235/75-15 and 30×9.50-15. We chose these sizes because many members here carry their Patriots and run 29″+ wheels. Please see the pictures below for notes.

*Please note that the Patriot has a 2-1/8″ lift and PWM finish. Also, any of these wheels can be used with any of these tire sizes to create the combination you’re looking for.

Notes: This setup can fit unlifted Patriots IF the owner is willing to cut the pin weld and cut the line on the front fenders. Rear view adjustment is not required.

With a 2 1/8 inch lift this tire will require modification to the rosy weld (cut or bent) as well as some changes to the front fender liners.

Yes, unfortunately the TKO 15×7 MB is no longer in production like the 15×8. This is also the case with MB Chaos 5.

If you plan to do PWM, then you can go a bit more aggressive with the fitment, say 15×7 with -6 offset or even 15×8 with 0 offset. Despite the lift, you’ll want to be conservative in tire size.

Speaking of tire size, the 235/75R-15 is safely managed on 6-inch to 8-inch wide tires, so this size works well in 7-inch wide applications.

I went with unique 297s 15×7 tires with 0 offset and 235/75/15 (29, 9.25) Falken Wildpeak AT tires.

I did the PWM before I got the tire and it was just enough space to clear without rust. No elevator. Love them! Thanks again for everything!

Long time no one here but here goes…if I have a 1.5 inch lift can I fit 29 inch unique wheels or cragar tires (if they are still useful). cragar rooms or discount on the site. Any suggestions there? Looking for the best option.

The 15×7 ET0 Cragar Soft 8 and Unique 297 are still available, but we only have the Unique listed online. We can order Soft 8 if you want.

A bit earlier in this thread a member fit an 8″ wide wheel with 29″ tall tires without much modification. With a narrower width at 15×7 combined with an offset of 0, you can clear the 235/75R-15. tires with minimal changes. Unfortunately, this is a gray area because, like shoes, tire brands can be bigger or smaller, even in the same size. 225/75R-15 should be fine.
