As sleepy as I am (I usually sleep in an afternoon) I went to the nearest hardware store and got two different sandpapers 400 and 1200 wet sanding paper and started working on it as soon as I got home.

The results were amazing, I felt great and now I drive very carefully! The finish is really good for now, but for a real polished look I’ll have to run to the car accessories store and get a metal polish (don’t remember the name but I had it a while ago).

If you find scuff marks on your rims, this is a great way to go, as just use sandpaper to remove the really rough parts from the chrome or polished alloys. If you have painted alloys you will need putty and paint, the process will be more complicated, I believe it is available online, just google it.

Note: The only step to follow is to make sure the area is clean and wet the sandpaper and just rub over the damaged part!
