How To Be Positive When You Are Depressed – Whether you love someone with depression or have it yourself, you probably know firsthand what mental illness can be like. Depression comes with many psychological and physical effects, such as fatigue and loss of interest in the things you once cared about. Although major depressive disorder (MDD) affects more than 16.1% of American adults, according to the Anxiety & Depression Association of America, it is not enough to talk about mental health struggles or how bad depression is. From famous authors to some of your favorite celebrities, many professionals have spoken about their experiences with depression over the years, and their conversations about depression are full of insight and inspiration. Nothing can replace proper treatment from a professional doctor, of course, but if you are hoping to better understand your loved one’s experience or to better understand your own, then these wise words can only help. Here are the best quotes about coping with grief, from those who are still hurting and those who are starting to see the light.
