Serial 1 last introduced a 60’s chopper style e-bike known as the MOSH/CHOPPER. It eventually sold at auction for $14,200, and now the company is hoping to repeat the magic with another eye-catching and nostalgic electric bike: the MOSH/BMX.
Like the MOSH/CHOPPER, the new MOSH/BMX was created by Warren Hair Jr. and Kendall Lutchman at JR’s Fabrication and Welding in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
This time, however, the custom e-bike takes us back just 40 years to the glory days of the 1980s.
The MOSH/BMX is built on the same underpinnings as the standard MOSH/CTY serial 1. This means it features the same Brose e-bike drivetrain, Gates carbon belt, Enviolo continuously variable transmission, TRP hydraulic disc brakes and Serial battery 1, which was developed in-house using experience gained from developing the Harley-Davidson LiveWire electric motorcycle.

The handlebars are replaced with 9-inch BMX high-rise bars with internal cable routing, giving the e-bike a completely different riding position.
The front milk crate basket is mounted on a custom stainless steel post (and could very well make this the most expensive e-bike ever).
And to top it all off, a number of authentic BMX touchpoints have been added, such as the Viscount Dominator saddle, ODI mushroom grips and bear trap pedals. Remember when you were a kid and you had a lot of these suckers!?

Harley Davidson Reincarnate The Serial 1
Serial 1, the e-bike company that spun out of Harley-Davidson almost two years ago, has unveiled yet another premium model designed to make you open your wallet in helpless surrender. The Bash/Mtn is the company’s first electric mountain bike, and from the looks of it, it could absolutely destroy the trail.
The Bash/Mtn rigid single-speed eMTB (electric mountain bike) is designed for serious off-road use, but promises to require less maintenance thanks to its simplified design. But it won’t be cheap, with a suggested retail price of $3,999.
“No fussed suspension tuning or complex drivetrain setup—just two wheels, one gear, and one goal—to provide the most direct connection between you and the track,” the company says.
The Bash/Mtn design was based on a Serial 1 engineer’s personal build and adapted from the company’s entry-level Mosh/Cty model. This new premium model retains many Mosh/Cty features, including a Gates Carbon Drive belt, Brose S Mag mid-drive motor, TRP hydraulic disc brakes, internally routed cables and wires, and integrated LED lighting.

It’s differentiated from the Mosh/Cty by having grippy Michelin E-Wild knobby tires and a “spine-saving, shock-absorbing” SR Suntour NCX seatpost. The Yucca Tan paint job with special Gloss Graffiti graphics also sets the Bash/Mtn apart from other Serial 1 models. And thanks to a new agreement with Google, the Serial 1 app will stream all ride data and other metrics to users.
The eMTB Serial 1 features a built-in, removable 529Wh battery that should power the bike for a range of 30-95 miles, depending on riding mode. This is a Class 1 electric bike without throttle, meaning it has a top speed of 20 mph. The serial number 1 didn’t list a power rating, but with 90 Newton-meters and 66 ft-lbs of torque, it’s sure to get you up steep hills without breaking a sweat.
Like the gorgeous vintage S1 Mosh/Tribute, the Bash/Mtn will be a limited edition release. A total of 1,050 units will be produced: 525 for the US and 525 for Europe.
Last year, the company announced a series of exclusive, one-of-a-kind e-bikes that it was auctioning under its 1-OFF Series brand, with the first offering being the Schwinn Sting-Ray-inspired Mosh/Chopper. .
