F150 Air Bags For Towing – I am also interested. I found a 5000lb setup on stage3.com for 21 f150 but not sure about Tremor compatibility. I would like to add 2 or 2.5″ level to the front but have the ability to vent the rear when retracted so it doesn’t sag.
My dad installed bags from https://timbergroveenterprises.com/ on his 21 FX4, he has a 2” leveling kit on the front end. He is very pleased with the build quality and performance. They designed a kit for 21 non Tremor. I plan to contact them when I get my Vibration as I have been told they are very easy to work with.
F150 Air Bags For Towing
Depending on how often and where you’ll be taking the truck off road, you’ll want some kind of long car-like ride. Bellows significantly reduce your rear travel. It’s something I’m considering if I find a good 3 inch suspension lift alone. That’s 3 in the front and 1 in the back. I’m not keen on actual lifts that include frame mods or cross members that reduce actual clearance

If it is, then what are the suspension specs you plan to use to achieve the desired height? Last question, have you calculated if the suspension will fit the 35s without friction or limit the full range of travel?

I think the ideal solution is an airbag system with Daystar airbag cradles so that the bellows does not limit the downward travel. But when you pull the bags it will still work as designed

The dealer told me the quiver had a bag 2” rear block lifters from the factory and I put a 2.5” high lift and it looks pretty level.

Click to expand… the problem with the 35’s is that I don’t have the truck yet to measure the range, clearance, full compression clearance, etc. My biggest gripe is how they wrapped the front bumper a full 90 degrees. If you look at previous years it is a bit more open in the wheel well @ 9 0′ (driver).
The cost of a 3 inch lift without frame extensions can be expensive until I can finalize the specific parts. My concern here is the axle angle of the car at full compression and deceleration. Everything else can be changed/moved quite easily/freely. Ideally, Ford understands (as they claim the reason for creating the Tremor) we will modify our trucks. If they planned that in the axles, joints, control arms and steering angles, it will literally be the spring and shock length. Now to dash your hopes, I’m 90% sure Ford didn’t make it past that time.

Well, that’s the equivalent of a 3″ lift for a stock F150, but not a shake. If things haven’t changed, our specific suspension components are different than even an FX4. arms and fingers to see what they’ve changed and if they can be reused. At $3k, that would be a huge savings to not have to replace them.

The comments above about the travel restriction are definitely a consideration. I would love to see or hear any experiences with some of these kits regarding articulation.
I am a fan of airbag systems. It’s so easy to dial in your preferred ride height, regardless of load or tongue weight. This is not only for aesthetics, but also for the handling and alignment of the front end (caster). No more worrying about “I want it to have a little rake so when I load it with SOME stuff it’s level…but if I make it too heavy…or too light…it’s not right.”
Firestone Ride Rite Airbags
I have a system from this company in my 4Runner and it has been great. It might have perfect day-to-day ride height, but load it up for a big family trip and put some PSI in the bags and you’ll be back where you want to be. Hook up to an off-road trailer and go full load, pump some air in there. No collection and suspension dynamics are predictable during loading.
I think I’ll give the Roadmaster a shot. At the absolute worst, I add/remove RAS when I change my wheels.
Watch the video below to see how to install our site as a web app on your home screen. I have a 2013 3.5L EB F150 XLT and am a full time RV’er. We recently upgraded our trailer to a pretty heavy duty trailer, it’s an Arctic Fox 30′ that is 7300# unloaded with 860# tongue weight…add to that 2 adults, 2 large dogs, 2 electric bikes, tons of equipment, etc. ..you get the idea. Our first trip was from Montana to Minnesota, and all was well on the power front…this truck pulled it with ease! Not so happy with the ride quality though…even with a weight distribution barrier that flattened things out pretty well, there was a lot of bouncing and creaking from the weight…so much so that one of my dogs got sick from the car!
Now, I’ve learned that air bags, or auxiliary springs, can make a big difference. And I know I can order them for pretty cheap and install them myself. But 2 things are not 100% clear to me:
Ford F 150 Raptor Review: Towing, Off Roading, And Daily Driving
I’m about to go on a trip down Alcan pulling an almost 8 lb trailer with my 2015 3.5 EB. I originally purchased the Air-lift 5000 bags for the trip and got halfway through installing it, only to find that the kit wouldn’t fit due to the way the shackles were placed on the truck when I first bought it. Something I completely overlooked. I sent it back and ordered the £2000 kit which will be here tomorrow. This should work because of the frame mount and leaf pack.
I got the bags for the same reason you did to avoid jumping, but I’m not sure it will work. I’m rolling once I install them, so unfortunately I won’t be able to provide an update for a week or two.
I just tried to buy some Hellwig Overload Springs from Amazon and the specs said they would fit, but they weren’t…
We have 3″ leaf springs and the overloads were only 2.5″…. I looked on the Hellwigs site and all they list is 2.5″… I even looked at the F250/F350 and they only listed 2.5″.. WTF?? ?
