Best 33 Tires For Jeep Wrangler – Does anyone have bigger tires on their stock 4xe? I’m thinking of buying 33″ tires in the 20’s. Post some pics and specs and let me know if it’s rub-free.

Click to expand… A guy on the JL forum has a 275/60- 20 made on this 4xe Sahara, stock wheels (um, I believe that’s a 33″, I’m used to the metric specs). So same width, but a 60 versus a 55 profile, said zero issues (apparently the 4xe sit ~1″ higher OOTB).
Looks great, it was a Falken Wildpeak A/T3W, a lot more aggressive for off-road use (which is supposedly still very street friendly).
No problem with Gladiator Rubicon Wheels. 33″ I think the 20’s look better and are suitable for an all terrain Nitto. The 20’s are lighter.

Mcklew5 said: 33×12.5 on the standard 20 inch rims. Toto All Terrain Extreme! Drives great! Click to expand… Dang, that seems like a really wide tire for the stock 20×8″ wheels. I mean, I’m used to performance car gear – like my GT setup is a 285/35 on a 20×10″ ( front), and a 305/35 on a 20×11″ (rear), but I realize there is a fair amount of sidewall bulge “allowed” on a truck/SUV mounting (and you don’t use Sebring in a Jeep…)
Who owns the black one in the photo above… can you post some additional photos along with the tire details…?
Tips To Choose The Best Tires For Your Lifted Truck
I found a number of people with different setups on their JL High Altitude, which has the same rims as ours. Ranged from 275 to 285 to 305 with no friction reported. I’ll post some specs here soon. I think 285 is for mine because I want a wider tire.
I want to go with 285/70R17s, but I’m hoping to hold off on lifting for now. I’m pretty sure I’m fine when it comes to pothole clearance, but I’m still wondering about suspension clearance. If anyone here has any wisdom to share about this, I would greatly appreciate it. I’m wondering if I could do Rubi starts (which is a much more economical option), or if I need less offset/more backspace to ensure there is no friction when bent. New member here. Does anyone have any pictures or ideas of what my wrangler would look like if I kept my 33’s and added a 2.5 inch lift kit? I know it would look better with 35s, but I recently put the 33s in so I don’t want to change them since they are brand new.

Click to expand… This is my JLUR right after installing the 2″ Mopar lift on stock rims. From the crate this lift gave me about 2.5″-2.75″ inches all around. It will eventually will drop slightly over time once it has settled in. You would have less fender gap than mine as I have the “thinner” Rubi fenders.

I think the leveling kit, which is 2 inches in the front and 1 inch in the back, is perfect for 33’s

Pdavis29 said: Do you have a lift on your JK or just the 33 tires? Click to expand… Well, I have both.. The Billet is NOT a lift with Falken AT3 33’s. Here is the black one with AEV 2.5 inch Dual Sport LIFT.
Pdavis29 said: Thanks for sharing, now my question would be if there is a difference since my JLU is a SPORT and yours is a Rubicon? What do you think. Click to expand… Yes, there will be a slight difference in the noticeable gap between the fenders and the tires. The Rubicons fenders are “higher clearance” fenders, meaning they have more room between the fender and tire for movement for extra wheel movement when off-roading, etc. Your Sport fenders actually move closer to the tire so You don’t see as much fender gap on yours as you do on mine in my photo.

315/70 r17 with an OME 2″ lift. Previously had 285/70r17 on it, but don’t have a good photo of the side.
Jeep Wrangler Review: Driving Impressions
I found some pictures with the 285/70r17 and the 2″ rancho sport lift. I traded the rancho lift for an OME 2″ after I installed my winch. The OME lift is an inch larger than the rancho lift.
33″ BFG KO2 on a 2019 JL. I didn’t add a lift because I like the stock height. Sufficient
