Clear® is a program that uses biometric data to verify a passenger’s identity, allowing them to skip to the front of the security line. Many airports have Clear® lanes for those with TSA Precheck and those without. In addition to airports, Clear® also allows expedited entry to some entertainment venues and stadiums. Clear®’s standard rate is $189 per year with the ability to add up to 3 adult family members per year at a discounted rate of $50. Children under 18 can use the Clear® line for free with a Clear® member. Clear® also offers discounted fares for United and Delta frequent flyers.
Anyone with a (free) United Mileage Plus or Delta SkyMiles account can sign up for compensation for $119 a year. Delta Platinum/Gold/Silver Medallion, United Premier Platinum/Gold/Silver members, and co-branded credit cardholders for either program can subscribe to Clear® for $109 per year. Clear® membership is free for Delta Diamond Medallion® members and United Premier® 1K® members. These discounts mean that most households should be able to cover at least two people with the available credit.
The Platinum Card® from American Express includes a $200 annual airfare credit that resets based on the calendar year. To activate the credit, you must first register and select an airline in the Benefits section of your Platinum Card account on the American Express website.

Those who access a room during a connection will be able to access the room before the three-hour period.
Starting 02/01/2023, only the cardholder will have free access. Guests will be charged $50 per adult guest and $30 per child ages 2-17. Extra guest fees will be waived if the cardholder has more than $75,000 in spending on the card in the previous year.
Only the cardholder has complimentary access and must show their Platinum Card and a same-day ticket for a Delta-operated flight or a Delta-marketed flight operated by WestJet. Guests pay $39 per person, per location, and children under 2 are free.
How To Maximize Benefits With The Amex Platinum Card
Cardholders must register for Priority Pass in the Platinum Card Benefits section of the American Express website. To access the Priority Pass lounges, the passenger must present the physical or digital Priority Pass card. Priority Pass cardholder can bring two guests for free. Priority Pass member will receive a retroactive card for additional guests.
Similar rules apply to Delta. The cardholder must fly on a Lufthansa group flight (Lufthansa, Austrian or SWISS), flights in Brussels or Eurowings do not qualify.
Platinum cardholders flying economy class passengers have access to the Lufthansa Business Lounges. Business class passengers have access to Senator lounges.
