When compressed, the shocks measure 9 1/4″ and fully inflated the shocks are 14″ giving you 5″ of travel and the ability to adjust your ride height on the fly. Our Taildragger kits will fit any stock Harley with external shocks. Most bike models you will be able to ride 4″ below the stock height up to 1″ above the stock height.

When bolted on a stock Harley, it gives you 5″ of movement. No adjustment required, just push on the new shocks and plumb and wire the system and install it anywhere. When the system is fully deflated the fender does not rub against the tire on STOIC applications, the shocks act as a bump stop. You must check the clearance on your bike, we are not responsible for variations on a bike with clearance issues. This means in the event of a system failure you can still ride the bike. When the shocks are extended to their maximum there is no binding and plenty of clearance on STOIC applications (a larger diameter exhaust may touch the bottom of the shock fully extended). The humidity is consistent at any height except fully deflated and the maximum height. When you have a passenger all you have to do is air the system up with a switch and you can maintain a comfortable ride height with the same great riding suspension. This kit is perfect for bikes with extended bags, getting your bike higher than any other air suspension to prevent scraping through corners but allowing you to lower it as much as possible without friction. With this system, you can ride withzero air pressurewithout rubbing.That means if you hit a big enough bump or ever lose air pressure for any reason you can still ride without rubbing your tires against your fender (on the most most ’09-Later models, or ’08-earlier models with stock rear tires). The system includes installation instructions, professional installation is recommended but not required. This system includes year/location specific mounting brackets for the compressor, to mount behind the right saddlebag and to float between the rear wheel and the right saddle. In some cases, depending on the location and model of the bike, some light fabrication may be required to install the air compressor or switch, but this system usually comes with everything you need for easy installation . Switch is a small momentary toggle switch that fits into a 1/4″ hole and includes a waterproof protective boot.
