37 Inch Tires For 15 Inch Rims – This size is a whole new category and no UTV tire will fit. I am looking for a 37″ soft/medium compound rock tire. If possible prefer a 15″ rim. Only rock crawling tires, no mud.

I know the usual suspects, but most are 17 and/or very difficult. Over the next few months I’ll be researching the 37″ category to decide what to go with. If anyone has any thoughts please let me know.

Swampers are always a crazy choice, but knives are too aggressive for me. I’m afraid something will go boom when the tires are spinning and those ears are biting. Ended up going for Maxxis Creepy Crawler 37×12.5x15s @£79. That’s a lot of rotational mass. The SXS tire market needs to go up to 37 like they have with 35. Hopefully someone will make a lightweight 37 within the next year. Hint @SATV

37 Crawler compared to 35 Roxxzilla. I mounted them on an 8 inch rim to give it a more rounded profile for easier steering.

Joe, you are definitely entering uncharted rzr territory! But yes, I agree with the popularity of portal boxes and now that almost 200 hp cars are coming from the factory, the market wants bigger and bigger tires. I’m sure that combination must be close to or over 100 pounds. Definitely some serious rotating mass. With proper right foot control and a thoughtful setup I’m sure it will work. But heck, it’s currently a full-size Jeep size 37s! I’ll see how it works for you. What has made you want to go to such great use of trails and rocks? I’ve been wanting to go 35’s just for the rock setup, but I keep looking at them and thinking that’s too much tire for sxs. Then I want you to be 37. lol. Hey, I guess someone has to push the envelope

I know mudmen have been running 44″+ for a while now, but a rock tire is a different animal/terrain. “We” are slowly but surely making them into a belt drive cart lol…almost at the point where the Complete Cart build is cost effective, but I think it’s a small scale aspect of the industry as a whole, a niche if you will, and I love looking at it, I’m sure by the time I get to the next one I’ll be done with it at 37+, the area and the groups I ride with are 34 + pretty much the norm now..I’m one of the few who doesn’t do this on portals…I expect my next machine but Joe may be at the forefront of all the ins and outs!Looking forward to the rebirth of his already serious machine.

I ran 33 seconds on the XPT from day one and went to 35 over a year ago. The 35″ Roxzillas are great and the best tires I’ve seen for the SXS. The setup has to be good to keep things from breaking, but these are the ticket. Now 35 inches are the norm and I see them everywhere and I like to be different. Also, I have to audition for those @SATV episodes? I hang my 35 just in case?

Don’t forget I would be doing 98% low gear reduction and 45% 6″ portals and working on a 40″ sticky 72+” base rig machine….maybe in 5 years

…I already have it in my head… 58:1 low gear final drive ratio is theoretically possible (I can also just build a carriage…. this is also intended… and probably more logical… but who knows!)

Many around here run STS and TRXUS radials for snowmobiling. Double layer sidewall works well with sxs. I just wanted something different.

So I’m bringing this thread up again. My turbo r now has a build date on the tracker. Still thinking about my 35″ roxxzillas I have for this. I’m thinking 37. Seems now companies are selling utv spec 37’s for a 15″ wheel. System 3 has a 370, efx has a motor and mrt has x rod track xg.I wonder if anyone has ventured to try them yet or if anyone has found a 37 that actually works in a utv.Looks like you can get away with these size tires with minimal upgrades with the pro r and turbo r. , that they run the 35’s bone stock very well without any modifications or additions.

If you run MRTs, you might as well get their 39 if you want a 37. They run very small.

The new 37″ System 3 370 has really intrigued me. They seem to run pretty well for their size and have proven to be a good tire.

I also found it interesting that the 37″ 370 is only 4 pounds heavier than the 35 with 15″ rims. I believe the 35″ 370 is 59 lbs and the 37″ 370 is 63 lbs. As of now I’m leaning towards trying the 370s unless I can get my hands on some of those efx motocross tires
