I have several questions: … and I have several answers. lol 1. Will going from 215/65r17 to 225/65r17 cause rub or fit issues? I used BFG KO2’s LT225/65R17’s for years with no problems in my Trailhawk when it was stock, no problems. 2. Which A/T offers the best performance for both off-road and highway driving? I live in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California where there is snow, winding roads and rain. I have a 120 mile commute (round trip); I think this is the perfect size and style of tire for the driving I do. 3. Will increasing the tire size offer any noticeable lift? 1/4 inch lift. But, it will look cooler. 4. Can I replace the tire on the spare in the trunk with a larger one and have no problems. Yes, the BFG KO2’s LT225/65R17 fits perfectly in the spare tire. Click to expand…

I have a full size 235 65 17 fits my trunk! Search our forum for pictures and more information.
Look at the 225/65/17 Geolander g015 and the wildpeak a/t3w 215/65/17. I have had the g015s for about a year now. They work great. A bit weak in the mud but I don’t go into the mud much.
Just to add to your choices, I ran the Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus (225/65/17) on my ’15 TH with no rubbing anywhere. The Pirelli’s are a bit noisier than the stock Wrangler Its in my TH, and I think there might be a very slight reduction in MPG (but not enough for me to even be sure). I live at 8500′ in the Pikes Peak area and have found them to be good in the snow.
I also ran the Pirelli Scorpions, I really like them so far. I don’t think they are any louder than the stock Falkens, but traction and looks are much better.

I just ordered a set (5) of Toyo Open Country A/T II 225/65R17 through tire rack. I got them to match for the best price I could find, free roadside assistance for 2 years and free delivery. $715.50 and I will receive them in two days.
Falken Wildpeak AT3W 215/65/r17. Stock size, amazing right across the board. I have 12,000 miles on them and they are barley worn. They handle really well in Florida dirt and sand. The only downside is my mpg dropped about 1-2 and if you’re not used to tire buzz, it’s there but not much.
These were my second choice. They were pretty close in pricing. Nice to have some affordable options instead of just $200 options.
That equates to about £109 in UK money and my Geolanders were only £10 less and that was at the local tire supplier.

They must have only recently started offering these tires to this extent? They never came up in my tire research before as an option, but sometimes it also depends on where you buy. Looks good. psiphone for pc jiofi.local.html

4 months ago, I replaced the OE Falken HTs with a set of Wildpeak AT/3s on my 17′. These are true off-road tires and a big improvement over the OEs.

KO2s were on our 15th TH when we got it. 225/65r17 and they rubbed in tight turns.
Trailhawk 2018 without bikes. No chafing issues so far and definitely a better ride than the Advanta ER700’s that were brought up by the dealership!

Keep them rotated (cross rotated) to keep the wear even. Like I said above, he only got 35k out of them but he was basically around town and it’s much worse for tire wear.
Don’t forget your off road gear, a good leash (kinetic if possible), air compressor, small tool set (and plug set), maybe a better/taller jack and/or some boards.
My standard HF aluminum floor jack for parking will not lift its tire off the ground if used in the factory pinch weld area.
And WTF with an all-season tire like that on a TH? A dealer or previous owner put anything on it that fits the tread as cheaply as possible. SMH

This is an older thread, you may not get a response, and it may be that the thread is old. Please consider creating a new thread. It’s just about the best-selling segment in the industry, and the small family car seems to be taking a solid backseat to that.
And while there are a lot of nice options out there, there’s a problem. They are all pretty similar. There are notable exceptions such as the Nissan Juke mutant amphibian. and the squat and squished Mini Clubman. But in general, and HRV, CRV, CX-3, CX-5, RAV4, Forester, Rogue all look – and perform – like relatives at a family gathering.
The mirror is a great start. With the round headlights and horizontal grill, the front end is pure Jeep, and we love it. Okay, you better make it 7/8
Our renegade worked even harder to stand out from the crowd with a citrus exterior called an Omaha Orange. On top of that, our tester was a Trailhawk 4×4, which looks a little rougher, thanks to a higher ride height, 17-inch black alloys and beefy 215/65R 17-inch tires with white lettering. With a blacked-out patch on the hood, and black twists around the body, you get an interesting mix of cute, rugged, and boxy.

While you might get a chance to pick up a local Lowe’s, the Renegade does its best to entertain with 30 or so “Easter Eggs” that have hidden Jeep words, designs or figures hidden throughout the vehicle inside and out. We won’t spoil the fun…
One tag you can’t miss is the prominent “graded trail” signs outside. No baseless bragging, Jeep is serious about bona fide off-road capabilities before they let any of their vehicles wear the badge, and the cute Rankade is no exception.
Inside, you have more of this Jeep goodness. The tall, upright stance and large windows give excellent visibility, whether you’re on your way to Hana or on your way to Costco.
The interior is squarely functional, get it done, with gauges that are easy to see, controls that are easy to find and operate, and a solid, durable look.

What I’m not saying is that you’re into it. Our tester had heated and heated power front seats trimmed in luxe leather (wasn’t he the bad guy in Superman?), dual-zone climate controls, 9 speakers, 506 watts, premium Beats premium audio system, navigation, and more. Jeep’s excellent Uconnect system.
We really liked the fat, leather-wrapped steering wheel and the 7-inch, TFT screen between the gauges that displays navigation instructions, terrain selection information, park assist, a digital speedometer (our favorite) and other information.
However, it does make the 5-inch touchscreen in the center console look a little sparse. To compensate, our tester had the optional My Sky open-air, dual-panel roof. You can use it as a traditional electric sunroof, or completely remove both
