Not my Patriot, but I had a 1993 Cherokee that had an internal leak. I pressed the clutch to the floor and it did nothing. I kept refilling it but it would keep draining somewhere. The initial symptom was that the clutch would slip momentarily the first time through the gears after congealing overnight. My (former) dealer started by telling me I didn’t know how to move a standard. When the problem became clearly demonstrable, they started throwing parts at it. Then it hit the rear and the leak continued after the repair. I got rid of the badluckmobile when it was only 6 months old.. 🙁 Never fixed the problem.
