The main question is: I bought MOPAR CVT4 mainly for OEM reasons since I have the lifetime warranty. Will using third-party filters and gaskets from Amazon affect my warranty? I thought the liquid would be the main problem if they ever tried to mention that!

Haha, yes, it’s literally mind-blowing. I just called the dealer to make sure my warranty would NOT be voided if I went ahead and repaired it myself…he said if they find out it wasn’t done INCORRECTLY then the filter/gasket markings should be OK.

That thinking and the 120k service schedule are the main reasons for many early CVT failures and their bad reputation.

Jeep Patriot Questions
Many of the videos I’ve seen where they’re just stuffing vary from 5 to 7 quarts, so I hope it works!
The CVT pan bolts are very easy to remove. My local jeep dealer took 4 of mine away and refused to fix them unless he gave them $750. Tell them to leave the impact gun on the bench!

One in the pan, one behind the cooler bypass valve. Make sure they both change. Mine only took 4.5 quarts.
About the warranty… Whether it’s Chrysler’s “lifetime” powertrain or even aftermarket, they generally require a qualified dealer to inspect the transmission every 5 years.
