2008 Jeep Patriot Tires And Rims – If you never turn the steering wheel to the maximum and you don’t use the highway a lot, there is no problem.

Do you think if I hit the weld I might pull out or is the wheel too big.

Would I have a problem if I chose a tire that was 215 x 35 on 18″ alloy?

So what are your wheel and tire sizes that you plan to run? Also what is the offset value? This should be thrown into the back of the spokes. You should be able to practice whether you need some space or not.

I think a 10 to 15mm spacer would best position the wheel for tire clearance… Just not sure about your caliper spacing. Have you got the wheels yet? If so, try one out and let us know 👍

This is an older thread, you may not get a reply and you may be reviving an old thread. Consider creating a new topic. We were trying to find a great 15″ option for the Patriot and with the help of a fellow forum member we did just that. In fact we found 3 great 15″ options for our patriot. Take a look at.

As we mentioned at Discount Tire, they want your help: Anyone using 15″ Wheels? thread, our internal fitment guide tells us that a 16″ wheel is the smallest diameter that will fit the Patriot. After looking at the Patriot’s brake dimensions and the dimensions of some of our aftermarket 15×7 0mm offset wheels, we decided it was time to test the fit. Looking at the wheel specs, we found that a 15×7 with 0mm offset should sit pretty similar to the factory wheel with a 32mm (1.25″) wheel spacer. If this would fit over the patriot brakes, running a wheel with these specs would give the owner vehicle the opportunity to use a wider and taller tire without the use of wheel spacers.

Before I get to the bottom line, some of you may be asking, “Why would anyone want to run 15” wheels on their Patriot?…

Here are a few reasons… First, if you’ve been looking for an off road tire option, some of you may have discovered that there aren’t many models or sizes of 16″ or 17″ off road tires to choose from for the Patriot. 15″ on the other hand, offers plenty of options for off-road tires. Also, going down to 15″ is also great for off-road performance. Compared to 16″ and 17″ tires of the same diameter, the 15″ tire provides more sidewall height for better off-road performance and handling when lowered. 15″ tire and wheel combinations can also save you some money at the pump. Depending on the wheel you choose, 15″ alloy wheel and tire combinations tend to weigh less compared to larger diameter wheels and tires. This weight savings without a spring translates into fuel savings. Note* If fuel economy is one of the main reasons for which you are considering fitting 15″ wheels and tires we recommend swapping an alloy wheel over a steel wheel. Best of all, 15″ tires tend to be more economical, so when you get to the next set, you’ll have more money to spend on other Jeep mods

Epper: we were able to test fit several 15″ wheel models on the Jeep Patriot along with several larger tire options (compared to stock). Here’s what we found…

15×7 ET0 (4″ BS) Unikue 297, 15×7 ET0 (4″ BS) Cragar Soft 8, 15×7 ET0 (4″ BS) MB TKO, and 15×7 ET0 (4″ BS) MB Chaos 5 all cleaned up the Patriot brake space abundantly and do NOT require wheel spacers. The sizes we tested were 225/75-15, 235/75-15 and 30×9.50-15. We chose these sizes since many members here build their Patriots and use 29″+ tires. Please see the pictures below for notes.

*Note that aroundincircle’s Patriot has a 2-1/8″ lift and PVM done. Also, any of these wheels can be used with any of these tire sizes to create the combination you are looking for.

Notes: This setup may fit unlifted Patriots IF the owner is willing to cut the weld and cut the fender liner on the front fenders. No rear fender modification required.

With a 2 1/8″ lift this tire needs some modification to the weld (cut or bent) and also needs some modification to the front fender liners.

Also, I understand that it’s not safe or wise to run the 235 on anything less than 8″ wide wheels. I see you made the 235 attack on 7″; so it’s ok to do that? Just want to make sure before I decide on 225 or 235 because I can only fit 15×7 without lifting? I will do PVM as well. Thanks in advance for all the great work you do. Yes, unfortunately the 15×7 MB TKO is no longer produced like the 15×8. This is also the case with MB Chaos 5.

If you plan to use PVM, then you can go a bit more aggressive with the fitment, such as 15×7 with -6 offset or even 15×8 with 0 offset. Without a
