RS5000X Gas Shock, The core of this new and innovative shock from Rancho is a unique and patented rebound valve system and advanced compression phase of the shock absorbers. This proprietary process developed by the drive engineers at Rancho will improve your vehicle’s overall handling and performance on and off road. Each RS5000X shock is gas-pressurized to 150 PSI.* Twin-tube, gas-pressurized shocks have multiple advantages including minimizing air-to-oil mixing that can cause bubbles and shock fade. Gas pressure also provides a mild boost to the vehicle’s spring rate. The RS5000X series has a 2-1/4 inch diameter shock body. Larger shock bodies allow increased fluid capacity to operate cooler and improve vehicle control and performance at varying speeds and terrain. The RS5000X series combines a larger shock body with an all-weather fluid, allowing the shock to withstand internal temperatures between -40 and 248 degrees Fahrenheit. The design of the Rancho RS5000X series includes a patented progressive rebound disc and compression disc. At lower speeds or in the early stages of shock travel, the eccentric disc in the valve shim arrangement will engage the valve at a lower frequency, helping to control the energy of motion as the shock cycle increases or decreases in its action. When hitting potholes, off-road obstacles or similar activities, Rancho’s Progressive Engagement Valve allows early fluid flow, helping to reduce harsh initial impact and control fluid flow progressively and gradually through the valve. During on- or off-road driving activities such as washboards or when traversing rough fire roads, the initial flow of fluid helps minimize a “rough” ride as the piston movement is able to glide through the shock’s initial travel motion with a minimum. impact or ground force. If necessary, Progressive Engagement Valving will continue to engage to maintain control and stability.

*Tenneco’s obligations under the Limited Lifetime Warranty, 1 Year Limited Warranty and 90 Day Limited Warranty are limited to the replacement of damaged or worn products (excluding packaging) with identical (or substantially comparable) products in accordance with this warranty. Removal and installation costs are not included, and any incidental and consequential damages are excluded under this warranty, regardless of when the failure occurs. The warranty has no cash value and is only valid in North America and Canada. The warranty does not apply to products that have been modified, used improperly or installed on vehicles used for commercial or racing purposes. Further, this warranty is limited to use on privately owned passenger cars or light trucks. The warranty does not apply to extended shock absorbers or products not specifically listed for the vehicle in use. The warranty does not apply to normal wear components, including, but not limited to, suspension bushings, tie rod ends, ball joints or spherical rod ends.
To make a claim under this warranty, return the worn or damaged product with the original dated receipt to the dealer or retailer from which it was purchased or to a Tenneco dealer for verification and exchange under this warranty.

Applicable warranties give you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state. Any implied warranty you may have under state law that may not be disclaimed is limited to the same period as the applicable warranty stated herein.
